Role overview   

As our Actuarial Manager/Reporting Actuary, you will coordinate and support actuarial reporting, risk and capital management across our relevant legal entities. You will provide technical assurance, support Solvency II reporting and governance, and connect Actuarial, Finance, AICL and Group stakeholders. You will help ensure actuarial outputs are accurate, complete and delivered on time, while improving automation, controls and business insight. 

Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in: 

  • Coordinating Solvency II reporting and ensuring actuarial outputs meet regulatory and governance requirements. 

  • Supporting quarterly and annual solvency processes, risk and capital management, and second line reserving and pricing oversight. 

  • Validating data used for Solvency II capital calculations, with clear evidence that it is complete, accurate and appropriate. 

  • Reviewing actuarial reports, disclosures and analysis within delegated authority for senior stakeholder review. 

  • Building effective relationships across Actuarial, Finance, AICL and Group teams to support aligned decisions and robust governance. 

  • Leading process improvement, automation and digital transformation to strengthen reporting efficiency, control and insight. 

  

Essential skills/experience: 

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline, full actuarial qualification and at least five years of relevant actuarial or insurance experience. 

  • Strong knowledge of Solvency II, reserving, financial reporting, actuarial governance, risk and capital management. 

  • Experience of actuarial modelling and data validation, with strong Microsoft Excel capability and excellent attention to detail. 

  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills, including identifying root causes, anticipating risks and developing practical solutions. 

  • The ability to turn complex actuarial, risk and capital information into clear messages for technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • A collaborative and resilient leadership style, with experience coaching colleagues and delivering high-quality work through deadlines and change.

  • Recruiter screening call   

  • 1st stage interview with the hiring leader 

  • 2nd stage interview with the hiring leader's leader
