Role Overview
We are looking for experienced QA Engineers, SDETs, and Test Engineers to review technical outputs, design and execute test scenarios, identify defects, and provide structured quality feedback. The role combines traditional manual and automated testing with evaluation of technical work against defined rubrics and quality criteria.
CONTRACT: Part-time/hourly contractor assignment
LOCATIONS: Remote, GLOBAL
HOURLY RATE: $60-$110/h
Responsibilities
- Design test cases covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.
- Execute manual and automated tests and document reproducible results.
- Identify, log, classify, and track software defects.
- Evaluate technical outputs against defined quality criteria and rubrics.
- Provide detailed written feedback and annotations on identified issues.
- Validate fixes and confirm expected system behavior.
- Document testing steps, findings, and evidence clearly.
- Collaborate with project teams to improve testing and evaluation guidelines.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across high-volume review tasks.
Requirements
- Professional experience as a QA Engineer, SDET, Test Engineer, or comparable software-testing role.
- Strong knowledge of test case design, functional testing, and regression testing.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Experience using bug-tracking and test-management systems.
- Ability to produce clear, reproducible bug reports and testing documentation.
- Experience evaluating technical outputs against defined requirements or acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and spoken English.
