Job Description

Proposal Consultant

Pune/Noida - India

Proposal Consultant responsible for preparing and delivering techno-commercial proposals for MV/LV MCCs, VFDs, and automation solutions. The role includes RFQ review, technical solution development, costing, proposal preparation, and customer requirement analysis while collaborating with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Part of the GEBS organisation supporting global Rockwell Automation offices. Hybrid working model with a 5:00 PM–2:00 AM shift based in Pune/Noida, India.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals for MV/LV MCCs, VFDs, and automation solutions based on customer specifications, RFQs, and tender requirements.
• Analyse customer requirements and develop technically compliant, cost-effective solutions using Rockwell Automation and approved third-party products.
• Prepare Bills of Material (BOMs), man-hour estimates, and detailed bottom-up cost calculations for proposed solutions.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, scope summaries, assumptions, exclusions, and clarification responses using approved proposal tools.
• Participate in customer and internal meetings to gather requirements, define scope, and resolve technical and commercial queries.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Commercial teams to ensure accurate proposal submissions.
• Ensure proposals are delivered with high quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction while meeting committed timelines and our goals.
• Identify technical, commercial, and execution risks associated with proposals.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer, technical, financial, and commercial information following company policies.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned opportunities, ensuring you achieve commitments and deadlines consistently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best-practice deployment to enhance proposal quality and team effectiveness.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronics
• Relevant Experience of more than 4+ years in Proposal Engineering for MV/LV MCC, Electrical knowledge and Automation Engineering
• Working knowledge of MV/LV Drives, PLC & MCC System Designing
• Thorough knowledge of DOL & S/D Starters, VFDs, Soft-Starters, Intelligent Motor Control, Safety Product's System Designing
• Knowledge of Electrical Components Selection, Busbar Calculation, Heat and Load Calculation
• In depth knowledge of International Standards used for Design and Manufacturing

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Field Installation & Commissioning experience on MV/LV VFDs, MV Switchgear, PCC's, MCC's, PLC's & Instruments is preferred.
• Gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning
• Good Command on SAP Documentation and Part Management
• Industry and application Knowledge, training skills, and familiar with Lean Six Sigma and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Principles.
• Experience on Panel Testing, I/O Testing and FAT
• Exposure to Global Stakeholders/Customers is preferrable
