We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Payroll & HR Officer to join the HR team in our Caringbah head office.
Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for preparing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, coordinating a range of employee lifecycle activities and providing general Human Resources administration duties. This position would suit an experienced professional who is seeking the variety of both a Payroll and HR duties in the one role.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining and updating files for existing employees to record information such as employee contact details, leave taken, overtime, promotions, transfers, tax deductions, and superannuation
Preparing payroll and processing payment of wages and salaries
Completion of weekly time clock, fortnightly, and monthly payruns
Report generation, reconciliations and data extraction
Provide general HR administration, such as preparing contracts, variation letters etc
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new employees
Manage employee records and updating WorkDay
Ability to build employee relationships, maintain talent management and other HR activities
Contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies and initiatives
Support policy maintenance and coordination of workers compensation
Generate HR and payroll reports for management on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
To be successful in this role, you need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
Prior experience with ADP Lyric and Real Time is essential
WorkDay experience highly regarded
Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll processing in cross border environments
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills, whilst operating in a high volume environment
Highly developed communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal
Proven ability to build positive rapport and credible working relationships
Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
