Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring an Operations Coordinator to keep the day-to-day engine of their business running cleanly. This is a full-time, fully remote position for a South African professional who thrives on structure, follow-through and fixing small problems before they become big ones. You will coordinate processes, people and information across the business so that nothing stalls and nobody has to chase.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day operational workflows, keeping tasks, owners and deadlines visible and on track

- Maintain and improve SOPs so processes survive busy weeks and new team members

- Track projects across departments, chasing actions and flagging risks early

- Manage operational data and reporting, keeping systems accurate and up to date

- Support scheduling, supplier coordination and internal communications

- Identify recurring bottlenecks and propose practical fixes, not just workarounds

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

Your day starts with a clear view of what is due, what is stuck and what needs a nudge. You will update trackers, chase outstanding actions with polite persistence, prepare status summaries for leadership, and keep shared systems clean and reliable. When something unexpected lands, and it will, you triage it calmly: who needs to know, what needs to happen, and what must not be dropped in the meantime. Over time you will spot the patterns behind the firefighting and help build processes that stop the fires starting.

Requirements

- 3+ years' experience in operations, project coordination or a similar process-driven role

- Excellent written and spoken English, with clear, professional communication across all levels

- Confident with tech tools: task trackers, spreadsheets, shared drives and communication platforms

- Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a dedicated home office

- Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and follow-through under pressure

- A proactive, solutions-first mindset with genuine attention to detail
