The Online Program Coordinator supports the PBC Online Department in the recording, organization, and administration of online course content. Working under the supervision of the Online Program Manager and alongside the department’s video editor, this role oversees the video production process from initial recording through the final upload and course organization in Populi. This role offers hands-on experience in media production, digital workflow management, and educational administration.
- Hours: Part-Time, 20 hours/week
- Ministry Center: Portland Bible College
- Reports directly to the Online Program Manager
- Has no supervisory responsibility

- Fall 2026 Term Required In-office Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8am camera setup, 9:15am start cameras, 10:10am stop cameras & tear down
- Every other Wednesday: PBC Staff meeting 12pm-1pm
- Long Term: Depending on the semester recording schedule, call time may be as early as 7am some days to set up cameras
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Theology, Biblical Studies, Ministry, or related field, preferably from Portland Bible College
- Must be available for scheduled recording times during the semester, with a consistent weekly schedule
- Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and consistent follow-through
- Experience with media production, including basic camera equipment setup, recording, and coordination with video editing processes in support of educational or ministry content
- Willingness to learn technical skills such as camera setup, audio checks, and basic troubleshooting
- Comfortable training and overseeing volunteers on recording setup and teardown
- Basic computer literacy (comfortable navigating files, email, and online platforms)
- Proficiency with digital tools and online learning platforms used in educational or ministry settings
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple small tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work under supervision, receive feedback, and adapt within a structured professional training environment
- Demonstrates maturity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information, and uses Populi access only for assigned responsibilities
- Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing
Responsibilities
- Sets up, operates, and tears down camera and audio recording equipment for scheduled lecture recordings
- Performs basic audio and video checks to ensure quality before recording
- Troubleshoots common technical issues before recording sessions
- Trains volunteers to set up and tear down equipment
- Uploads, organizes, and stores video files according to department naming and folder conventions
- Proofs finished videos for accuracy and quality before they are published
- Communicates with the video editor regarding needed changes, corrections, or re-edits
- Edits supporting student notes for recorded lectures
- Updates and maintains course organization and structure as needed
- Uploads finalized videos and related materials to Populi
- Assists in the preparation of lectures, presentations, and instructional materials
- Implements revisions to curriculum and course structure based on program needs
- Supports miscellaneous course administration tasks as they arise during the semester
- Assists with student communication related to course content, academic progression, and technical issues, including checking the PBC Help Desk email at the beginning and end of each day
- Engages with students in a manner that reflects pastoral care and theological understanding
- Supports a learning environment that integrates spiritual formation with academic study
