Marketing Automation Specialist – HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Email Marketing & CRM | Remote

About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Marketing Automation Specialist to build, optimize, and scale automated marketing campaigns, email workflows, lead nurturing systems, and CRM processes.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who understands how marketing automation translates into qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue.
You’ll work across platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign, or Klaviyo, owning everything from workflow creation and segmentation to lead scoring, campaign optimization, and reporting.

What You’ll Own
Marketing Automation & Workflows
- Build and optimize automated marketing workflows
- Create nurture sequences, drip campaigns, and triggered campaigns
- Design and implement lead scoring models
- Build lifecycle-based automation and follow-up sequences
- Test and troubleshoot workflow logic
- Monitor automations to ensure reliable execution
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual marketing processes
Email Marketing & Campaign Execution
- Build, launch, and manage email campaigns using HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or similar platforms
- Create responsive, on-brand, and conversion-focused email templates
- Manage campaign scheduling and deployment
- A/B test subject lines, copy, CTAs, and send times
- Monitor deliverability and engagement
- Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data
Lead Scoring, Segmentation & Lifecycle Management
- Build and maintain lead scoring frameworks
- Segment audiences based on:
- Persona
- Industry
- Behavior
- Engagement
- Lifecycle stage
- Create targeted campaigns for different audience segments
- Maintain accurate lifecycle stages and lead statuses
- Improve lead qualification and movement through the marketing funnel
CRM & Sales Alignment
- Connect marketing automation workflows with Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, Zoho, or similar systems
- Ensure accurate lead routing and timely sales handoffs
- Maintain alignment between marketing and sales lifecycle stages
- Collaborate with sales teams to improve lead quality
- Identify gaps between marketing-generated leads and sales follow-up
- Support campaign-to-pipeline and campaign-to-revenue attribution
Data Management & CRM Hygiene
- Maintain clean and organized marketing databases
- Identify and remove duplicate or inactive contacts
- Maintain accurate contact properties and segmentation data
- Monitor data quality across marketing and CRM systems
- Support imports, exports, mapping, and database updates
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and applicable data privacy requirements
Analytics & Reporting
- Track campaign performance including:
- Open rates
- Click-through rates (CTR)
- Conversions
- Lead-to-opportunity rates
- Pipeline contribution
- Revenue impact
- Build dashboards using HubSpot, Marketo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Analyze funnel and campaign performance
- Present findings with clear, actionable recommendations
- Improve visibility into marketing attribution and ROI
Continuous Optimization
- Monitor campaign and workflow performance regularly
- Test new messaging, audiences, sequences, and automation strategies
- Identify bottlenecks within marketing funnels
- Recommend improvements to increase conversion and ROI
- Stay current with marketing automation tools and best practices
- Improve processes to make marketing operations more scalable and efficient
Requirements
Must-Have
- 2+ years of experience with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, ActiveCampaign, or similar
- Hands-on experience building marketing automation workflows
- Experience creating nurture and drip campaigns
- Experience with lead scoring and audience segmentation
- Strong email marketing and campaign execution experience
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, or Zoho
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for segmentation, analysis, and reporting
- Understanding of email marketing compliance and data privacy requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Availability during U.S. business hours
Nice to Have
- HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot certifications
- Experience with Klaviyo
- Experience with multi-touch attribution
- SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B marketing experience
- Familiarity with Zapier and API integrations
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau
