Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, upholding strict safety and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment and facility control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate updates to leadership.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 2+ year of experience or trade school training in facility, equipment, or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, CO₂).
• Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Ammonia refrigeration certifications (e.g., RETA, IIAR, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Skilled with hand and power tools; basic computer proficiency.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in cold or warm environments (-20°F to 100°F).
• Flexible availability, including weekends or overtime as needed.
