The Role
We are currently seeking a Lead Structural Technician / Drafter with proven experience managing teams and delivering on building and structures projects across the industry to join our Adelaide office.
The Adelaide office has secured roles on several exciting projects in the Adelaide market, with a strong pipeline of work across a range of sectors.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 10+ years’ experience in drafting and will provide support to lead and help manage team capability in the region and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and leadership guidance across the team's portfolio
- Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality
- Effective management and leadership of the technician team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development
- Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team's components of the plan
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Minimum 10 + years’ industry experience
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to mentor and train junior employees
- Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and provide input for proposals for a range of projects
- A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change
