About the job

Own the Atlassian Cloud platform that helps Graphcore teams collaborate securely at scale.

As Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer, you will own our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem in Bristol. This includes multiple sites and environments used across company boundaries.

You will protect architectural integrity, strengthen governance and create scalable ways for teams to work. Your decisions will shape how Jira and Confluence support delivery across Graphcore.

You will move configuration away from manual administration and into source control, APIs and pipelines. You will also lead automation for projects, workflows, permissions and access.

This role starts hands-on, with daily support, onboarding and configuration. Over time, you will grow the platform team and define the operating model behind it.

The team and culture

You will work with Project Managers, engineering teams and partners across diverse workflows. Work happens through clear standards, practical guidance and decisions grounded in platform ownership.

You will be trusted to set direction, prevent configuration drift and speak up when governance needs to improve. The role needs someone who can balance self-service with security and control.

As the platform grows, you will mentor others and build repeatable processes. Your impact will scale through automation, documentation and clear patterns that teams can use confidently.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience managing Atlassian Enterprise Cloud as a lead or primary platform owner.
• Strong automation skills across Jira Automation, REST APIs, scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing configuration-as-code approaches for SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity-based access control, automated provisioning and Azure AD integrations.
• Experience building secure multi-tenant or cross-company collaboration environments.
• Clear consultancy skills, with the judgement to set standards and deliver outcomes independently.
