Job Description:
Land Surveyor
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to support major infrastructure and enabling works projects in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will perform field surveys, setting-out, verification, and as-built surveys to ensure construction is executed accurately and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Review drawings and documents related to the works.
Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations; supervise survey-related activities on site.
Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
Carry out setting-out, level checks and verification of service locations to ensure protection of existing utilities.
Operate and maintain survey equipment including Total Station, GPS and levelling machine and data collectors.
Prepare sketches to support the fieldwork. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
Measure work done when required and support progress/quantity verification.
Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.
Ensure compliance with project quality standards and HSE requirements.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of land surveying experience, preferably on infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Total Station and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of surveying methods, setting-out and infrastructure construction.
