We’re looking for a Junior/Mid Software Engineer with strong SQL skills and some experience with C# and ETL processes to work directly with our client, a London-based asset management firm, as part of their technology team.
This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE), ideal for someone looking for a flexible role alongside other professional or personal commitments.
In this role, you’ll work with data, production processes and automation, helping the team handle day-to-day data requests and improve operational processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced Senior Engineer / Architect, learn from him and gradually take on more responsibility.

You Will Be:

Processing user-requested data uploads, including CSV files

Creating and updating ETL processes and Azure Data Factory pipelines

Identifying repetitive manual tasks and finding ways to automate them

Contributing to system administration improvements, including database monitoring

Maintaining and supporting existing .NET systems, as well as developing new features and enhancements

Collaborating with experienced engineers and the wider technology team
You Will Need:
-
Around 2 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a similar technical role

Good practical knowledge of SQL

Understanding of ETL principles and data integration processes

Some hands-on experience with C#

A careful and responsible approach to working with production systems and data

Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Adaptability to changing business needs and a willingness to work across different areas, from support and data-related tasks to hands-on coding

Verbal and written fluency in English
Nice to have:

Experience with Azure Data Factory

Previous experience with ETL or data pipelines

Experience in financial services, asset management or another data-intensive environment
