Western Door Federal is looking to hire an IT Systems SME to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB) in Arlington, VA. This position will be on-site.
The Systems Expert should possess an intermediate level of experience supporting federal contracting or acquisition organization. This position provides administrative support to National Guard Bureau (NGB) Contracting and Integration Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate, submit, and obtain new network user and email accounts, IT hardware, and VPN requests for all new employees to include submitting all required documents for approval for new network and email accounts
- Troubleshoot problems and issues related to existing network user and email accounts; provide all appropriate logistical support to resolve general IT issues ensuring that problems and issues are resolved
- As required, support end users with installing systems software updates
- Provide advisory and logistics support for IT systems operation, audio visual applications, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, and other application integration needed to support virtual and remote meetings and VTCs
- Submit requests for new IT hardware to the Property Book Officer (PBO); inspect the equipment to be issued for functionality and place the new property at the designated workspace
- Serve as the Alternate Property Liaison Officer (Alternate PLO) and work with the Property Book Holder to complete the semi-annual and annual check of inventory and property book items
- Inspect all “burn bags” to ensure they are labeled and shall dispose all burn bags in accordance with the building SOP.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in a similar IT systems role
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience supporting federal contracting or acquisition organizations
- Comp TIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications
