The IT Coordinator provides entry-level technical and operational support to the IT department, assisting with the organization's day-to-day technology needs. This position works under the guidance of IT leadership and offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support, systems, networking, cybersecurity, and technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for computers, printers, mobile devices, applications, and other technology equipment.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of computers and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues and escalate more complex problems when required.
- Assist with user account setup, access requests, password-related issues, and other routine administrative tasks in accordance with IT security policies.
- Support the IT team with system upgrades, equipment replacements, software deployments, and technology projects.
- Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of network-connected devices and basic network connectivity.
- Maintain accurate IT equipment inventory and assist with technology asset lifecycle management.
- Assist with cybersecurity and compliance activities, including security updates, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to company IT policies.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, equipment changes, and support activities as required.
- Coordinate with technology vendors and support providers under the direction of IT leadership.
- Provide technology support during meetings, events, and other business activities when required.
- Participate in training and professional development to continuously improve technical knowledge and skills.
- Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Entry-level knowledge of computers, operating systems, networking, and common business applications.
- Strong interest in developing a career in Information Technology.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the IT team and other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- IT-related education, coursework, or certifications are preferred but not required.
- Previous IT support experience is an advantage but not required.
Salary range: $12.00 USD - $14.00 USD per hour, plus gratuities.
