The role
The HR Business Partner, India will provide hands-on HR support to managers and employees across the country. The role will ensure Nebius has the local support needed to scale effectively.
You will work closely with global HR teams while adapting company-wide programs to local requirements and the needs of the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide practical HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance, compensation processes, engagement, retention and exits.
- Advise managers on performance, feedback, attendance, employee wellbeing, team dynamics, and difficult people decisions.
- Own employee relations matters.
- Maintain and improve local HR policies and practices, ensuring alignment with Indian employment requirements and local market standards.
- Support business growth through effective hiring coordination, onboarding, retention actions, and manager guidance.
- Partner with global HR Operations, Reward, Talent Acquisition, and Legal to deliver HR programs and services effectively in India.
- Lead local HR projects that improve employee experience, manager support, compliance, and the scalability of HR delivery.
- Use employee feedback and workforce data to identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
We expect you to have:
- 5+ years of broad HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or senior HR generalist in India.
- Strong hands-on experience in employee relations, performance management, HR operations, compensation and benefits, and local policy implementation.
- Practical knowledge of Indian employment practices, labor requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Experience managing investigations, performance concerns.
- Experience building or improving HR policies, processes, and tools in a growing organization.
- Strong judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Experience working with global HR teams in a matrixed organization.
- Experience in technology, engineering, cloud, AI infrastructure, or another fast-growing industry is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel within India.
