Responsibilities:

We are the Global Shared Services Centre for a major client RGE (Royal Golden Eagle), one of the world’s largest resource-based manufacturing groups with diversified business in Pulp and Paper, Palm Oil (upstream & downstream), Viscose Fiber, FMCG, Energy, and other business segments. As Head of Global Application Platform, you will serve as the second-in-command of a critical pillar within Group IT, overseeing the delivery, optimisation, and governance of enterprise applications including SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, SAP Security (IAG), Microsoft 365, and other general business applications across multiple business units and geographies. You will play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing cloud transformation and ensuring application platforms are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned to the Group’s strategic objectives.

• Deputise for the Head of Global Application Platform and assume full accountability in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership across all application streams.
• Lead the strategic roadmap for RGE’s global application platforms including Enterprise Collaboration (M365), Enterprise Resource Planning and Procurement (SAP-RISE and Ariba), Integration Suite (iPaaS), IT Service Management, and Human Capital Management (HCM) , aligning platform evolution with business transformation goals.
• Strong solutioning and customer service mindset, to architect the right platform capabilities to suit enterprise needs and to recommend the right platform for each use case.
• Drive SAP S/4HANA cloud migration and SAP RISE adoption strategy, ensuring seamless transition from on-premise to cloud-based ERP environments.
• Champion the adoption and optimisation of Microsoft 365 productivity suite, including Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships (SAP, Microsoft, implementation partners) including contract negotiations, SLA management, and performance reviews.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of application managers, functional consultants, and technical specialists across multiple locations.
• Establish and enforce application governance frameworks, change management processes, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity & EA, Infrastructure / Network Ops, and Projects pillars to ensure integrated delivery of IT services.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget for the Global Application Platform function, tracking expenditure and delivering cost efficiencies.
• Present regular status updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to Group IT leadership and key business stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
• A degree in the related job field.
• At least 8 years or more working exposure or experience in a similar role.
• Willing to relocate to the job location.
