À propos de ce poste Head of Experience Systems & AI chez Malt
Explore your future career 🔭
As the Head of Experience Systems & AI, you will guide our frontend and interaction evolution: shifting our core design infrastructure from a static component library into an intelligent experience engine.
You will be the guardian of the Malt visual identity within our digital product. Your mission is to define, encode, and scale our quality standards across live interfaces. By embedding our design guidelines directly into our system, you will ensure that automated outputs and dynamically generated code inherit the premium feel, clear hierarchy, and visual polish that define the Malt brand.
Reporting to the VP of Design, you will lead a specialized team of design and system experts while collaborating closely with three dedicated systems engineers. You will architect how our product interface scales cleanly through code generation, automated visual QA, and agentic UI pipelines.
Key responsibilities
Systemic Vision & Roadmap: Own the strategic direction, governance models, and technical roadmap for the Experience Systems & AI team.
Set the UI Execution Bar: Serve as the final voice on UI quality across Malt. Define clear standards for layout, motion, responsiveness, and token architecture to ensure production code flawlessly matches design intent.
Semantic Systems & Content Design: Oversee the taxonomy, content logic, and tone rules within our system, guiding AI models to generate copy that is contextually accurate and distinctively "Malt".
People Coaching & Mentorship: Manage and coach a senior tier of specialists, including a Senior Product Designer (Systems & Craft) and a Content Designer (Semantic Systems). Help them build highly scalable, high-logic design foundations.
Automate Code Workflows: Identify and fix friction between design assets and engineering deployments, building out streamlined code generation and asset extraction processes.
Automated Quality Governance: Implement automated visual testing checks directly into our integration pipelines to catch visual regressions, token discrepancies, and accessibility bugs early.
Dynamic UI Innovation: Partner with systems engineers to experiment with context-aware, adaptive UI components that adjust to real-time user goals.
About You
Systems Architect Mindset: You look beyond individual screens; you enjoy designing the underlying rules, programmatic logic, and variable frameworks that power them.
Applied AI Literacy: You understand how Large Language Models handle structured data, interact with data schemas, and how to structure context to support predictable UI layouts.
Strategic Craft Bar: You have a premium, uncompromising eye for UI detail and the ability to codify brand DNA and high-fidelity polish into technical systems.
Scale & Efficiency Oriented: You are driven by scale and engineering leverage, finding satisfaction in automating repetitive design steps out of the product lifecycle.
Background: This is a highly cross-functional leadership role. You bring a solid track record leading small engineering-adjacent squads or design systems teams, with deep experience in design token architecture, systems management, or design engineering.
Language: Fluency in English is required.
Bonus Points
Design Engineering DNA: Comfortable exploring the codebase and discussing component architecture directly with engineers.
AI Tinkerer: Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration and structuring data models to bridge the gap between AI and UI.
