This opportunity entails being responsible for leading the development of complex data engineering solutions and contributing to the strategic use of data across the organization. You will work with stakeholders to define data strategy, manage project tasks, and ensure quality and performance in solution delivery. You will also provide technical guidance to junior team members and support the evolution of data engineering practices, positioning yourself for future leadership in enterprise data initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Leads the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and architectures.
• Defines project scope, technical approach, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develops scalable solutions using cloud-based tools and distributed computing platforms.
• Monitors pipeline performance and ensures reliability in production environments.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborates with data scientists and analysts to optimize data workflows.
• Contributes to the development of best practices and reusable assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field and 5 years of related experience, or,
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field and 4 years of related experience, or,
• In lieu of education, 9 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience administering and managing Oracle, SQL and other platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud data services.
• Data warehouse design and modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

What We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, or Engineering.
• Experience with PostGRES.
• Experience with Snowflake
• Data pipeline orchestration (Informatica, FME).
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Experience and Knowledge of GIS.
