We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and grow our International Moving Division. This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for a proven leader with extensive, hands-on experience in the international household goods industry who understands every aspect of the business—from sales and pricing to operations and customer service.

About the Role The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our international moving division and be responsible for driving growth, improving operational efficiency, developing employees, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

You will lead multiple departments, mentor managers and staff, establish KPIs, improve processes, and work closely with ownership to execute the company's long-term vision. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can effectively balance strategy with day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities Lead and manage the International Moving Division, including: Sales Operations Pricing Sales Support Customer Service

Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a remote team while maintaining accountability and performance standards. Establish KPIs and performance metrics for each department. Improve sales processes, operational workflows, and customer experience. Review pricing strategies and ensure competitive quoting.

Work directly with escalated customers to resolve complex service issues professionally. Coach sales representatives to improve close rates and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with ownership on growth initiatives, technology implementation, and strategic planning. Develop and document standard operating procedures.

Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and industry best practices. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications This position requires direct experience within the international moving industry. Candidates should possess: 10+ years of experience in international household goods moving. Previous experience managing an international moving company or major division.

Extensive knowledge of: International household goods shipping Ocean and air freight Customs procedures International documentation Destination services Pricing and quoting Proven experience managing remote employees across multiple departments. Experience overseeing Sales, Operations, Pricing, and Sales Support teams. Strong leadership and coaching abilities. Experience handling customer escalations and resolving complex service issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of computer proficiency and comfort learning new software. Experience with CRM, transportation management, and workflow software is highly preferred. Experience with the US market is a plus.
