Join SMX as a Subject Matter Expert FMV Imagery Analyst and become an integral part of our high-performing team supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) operations! In this exciting role, you’ll collaborate with organizational leaders, team members, and cross-functional partners to plan and deliver a dynamic range of PED support. You’ll work directly with supported commands to identify mission-specific requirements, prioritize resources, and ensure that intelligence readiness is perfectly aligned with emerging threats and operational challenges across diverse Areas of Responsibility (AORs). This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
- Provide analysis remotely from CONUS PED locations
- Perform near real-time observation, analysis, exploitation, and reporting of GEOINT data in accordance with DNI ICD 203 and SOCOM Joint PED standards
- Deliver quality outputs for all Screener, Reviewer, and production functions
- Manage a shift of analysts performing all FMV Analyst duties, ensuring final production is error-free and compliant with team Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of all production efforts prior to government submission, and train others in these concepts
- Create team Standard Operating Procedures and establish chains of command within the assigned team and broader customer organization, training others in these concepts
- Liaison with AFRICOM and SOCAF foreign counterparts to support combined ISR intelligence missions at various deployed locations in Africa
- Coordinate with Foreign Disclosure Officers to ensure proper intelligence sharing under established intelligence agreements
- Interface with other intelligence organizations to prepare teams for exploitation of enemy personnel, and produce post-screening analytical products and assessments supporting targeting efforts and threat analysis
- Communicate effectively with intelligence and operations partner elements, leveraging subject matter expertise and operational experience to bridge operators and analysts and deliver advanced intelligence products
- Fuse new intelligence disciplines into assessments by incorporating historical FMV data, optical and non-optical imagery, satellite images, radar, and other intelligence sources to enhance products and overcome operational limitations
- Contribute to the production of intelligence assessments and products in support of deployed SOF to enable the F3EAD targeting cycle
- Apply intelligence techniques within specified Areas of Responsibility using logic, analysis, synthesis, creativity, judgment, and systematic approaches to gather, evaluate, and utilize multiple sources of information for informed decision-making, and contribute to shaping intelligence community exploitation tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Draft presentations and supporting documentation as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience at the operational and tactical intelligence levels, including general experience with targeting, intelligence systems, and geospatial systems
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on IMINT and/or FMV analysis and production experience, with demonstrated advanced proficiency performing all FMV Analyst duties independently on the PED operations floor
- Demonstrated deployed experience in forward locations supporting SOF, including prior deployment to Africa assigned to a SOF unit providing intelligence support to tactical and operational SOF
- Experience providing direct analytical and targeting support to deployed SOF elements in support of Counter Violent Extremist Organization (VEO) and Counter Terrorism operations
- SOF targeting operations experience in the AFRICOM AOR is required; prior and/or advanced SOF targeting operations experience in the AFRICOM AOR is highly desired
- Firm understanding of the input, output, and flow of information in C5ISR environments, including ISR collection techniques, sensor and platform capabilities, and best practices for multi-INT product creation
- Expert understanding of intelligence tools and Motion Imagery PED software such as SOCETGXP, In Motion, Microsoft Office, Google Earth, AIDE, DCGS-A, MIRC, PIDGIN, GETS, AIMES, NGDS, GSR, CEDALION, and UVDS
- Ability to gather, interpret, compare, and analyze data to produce actionable reports and well-supported conclusions
- Experience researching, developing, and presenting all-source intelligence products at the operational level to senior leaders, including CT and regional analysis, GEOINT, HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT/PAI, political/military analysis, and support to targeting
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in explaining and anticipating requirements for the ARIES Contract customer’s mission sets, designations, and requirements, with the ability to train others on these concepts
