Great dining experiences are all about timing, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service. As a Food Runner, you’ll play an important role in connecting our kitchen and restaurant teams — ensuring guests receive fresh, accurate, and beautifully presented meals quickly and efficiently.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys staying active, and loves being part of a collaborative team. You’ll help keep restaurant operations flowing smoothly while supporting Servers, Culinary teams, and guest satisfaction every step of the way.

What you’ll be doing
What you’ll be doing
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally while maintaining presentation standards.
Ensure all dishes are prepared correctly and match guest orders before delivering to tables.
Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Culinary teams, and leadership to support smooth restaurant operations.
Assist with table maintenance, guest requests, and service support throughout dining experiences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization across expo stations, service areas, and dining spaces.
Support restaurants, banquets, lounges, and event operations during high-volume service periods.
Help restock service stations, utensils, condiments, and operational supplies as needed.
Follow food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and hotel operational guidelines at all times.
Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate any service concerns promptly to leadership or service teams.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and side work duties to support daily restaurant operations.
Help create a welcoming, energetic, and team-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.
Any other duties as assigned.
What great looks like
Previous restaurant, food runner, hospitality, hotel, banquet, or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
Strong communication, teamwork, and guest service skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and presentation.
Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and food service flow preferred.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
A passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest experience, and creating memorable dining moments.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
