We are seeking a candidate to build on this foundation- someone who understands that fleet analytics extends far beyond spreadsheets and reports. The ideal candidate will combine strong operational knowledge with technical and data-driven problem-solving to create a more connected, efficient, and automated fleet operation. Data supports decisions, but people drive the operation; this position requires an individual who can connect with and work alongside team members at every level of the organization.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Fleet, this role requires travel between service centers and administrative locations across the Fort Worth area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Three (3) years of research and analysis experience related to vehicle cost management, replacement schedules, and performance benchmarking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fleet industry experience, specifically within hands-on fleet operations and asset management
- Proven mindset for process improvement, workflow automation, and data integrity
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma processes and procedures
- Knowledge of diverse vehicle/equipment types, capabilities, and Fleet Management Information Systems (FMIS)
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint), FASTER Fleet Management Software, SQL, and PeopleSoft Purchasing Software
- Industry certifications such as Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS) or Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM)
The Fleet Analyst job responsibilities include:
- Data Analysis & Process Improvement: Review fleet information system outputs and conduct operation and maintenance cost studies (including labor cost analysis, maintenance interval optimization, and disposal optimization). Lead the development and implementation of standardized procedures for process mapping, system analysis, and process automation
- Asset & Cost Optimization: Analyze departmental equipment needs and guide departments on equipment suitability, alternative vehicle usage, total cost of ownership (TCO), fuel consumption, and market/labor metrics
- Fleet Utilization & Strategy: Evaluate fleet unit utilization to recommend reassignments, discontinuations, rentals for low-use equipment, and optimal economic replacement points for each vehicle class
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Connect data insights to daily operations by working with staff across all organizational levels to ensure continuous improvement and data integrity.
- Perform related research, operational analysis, and administrative duties as required
