As a Financial Accountant (d/f/m) your responsibilities will include:

oversee day-to-day accounting operations by utilising AI functionalities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations

drive further automation within the finance department especially in our AP/AR cycles, to ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections

prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

coordinate the financial reporting of subsidiaries and perform consolidation processes

analyze financial data and provide insights to management on performance and financial health

maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls

ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements

What you will need to succeed in this role:

a bachelor's or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or in Business Administration with a corresponding focus

at least two years of working experience in a Big4 audit firm

very good knowledge of accounting principles (HGB & IFRS or US-GAAP) and financial statements

continuous improvement and development mindset – always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency, and a never-stop-growing mentality

ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively

advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems

excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German & English) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large sets of data
high sense of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
