Job Requirements

• Generates monthly management reports and design report formats for management reporting.
• Provides information to respond to ad-hoc business requests.
• Updates quarterly scorecards and business/function CIP status.
• Track business metrics and performance.
• Gathers and interprets estimated and actual monthly results for the business, function, region, or location.
• Creates comparative profitability studies and analyses.
• Tracks business performance metrics that can be incorporated into reports summarizing target and actual financial performance outcomes.
• Prepares special analyses, such as those related to manufacturing, costing, and overheads.
• Participates in the implementation of new reporting systems.
• Analyzes business performance metrics and make recommendations for improvement opportunities, where appropriate.
• Assists in reviewing cash flow statements and forecasts with management.
• Participates in implementation of new reporting systems.
• Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.

Competencies

• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting Knowledge of financial modeling through spreadsheet analysis Knowledge of Cabot’s reporting systems Accuracy/Attention to detail Proven ability to manage and develop budgets Ability to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions Ability to analyze and manage business plans Ability and knowledge in financial reporting PC skills (MS Office, Lotus Notes, MS Project, etc)
• Japanese proficiency at JLPT N1 level or equivalent (CEFR C1 or higher).
• Business-level English communication skills (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Education/Experience

• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Post-graduate degree/ specialization preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization.
