About This Role
As an Executive Client Partner at Stitch, you’ll serve as one of the organization’s most senior commercial and people leaders, accountable for the performance and growth of an approximately $25M client portfolio. You’ll lead a team of Client Partners and Senior Client Partners who directly manage Stitch’s client relationships.
This role does not carry an individual Book of Business (BoB). Your impact comes from creating the structure, commercial discipline, executive connectivity, and team capability needed to deliver predictable growth across the portfolio. You’ll coach and hold your team accountable, maintain visibility across strategic accounts, serve as an executive sponsor, and step directly into client or commercial situations when senior leadership is needed.
You’ll collaborate closely with Delivery, Solutions, Sales, Strategy, and Marketing to protect client outcomes, shape growth strategies, commercialize new offerings, and strengthen Stitch’s capabilities. You’ll establish effective commercial rhythms, lead complex negotiations and escalations, and develop strong commercial operators and future leaders. Success requires someone who can be both strategic and hands-on—comfortable setting direction, creating structure, and helping a team translate plans into measurable results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the overall commercial performance and profitable growth of an approximately $25M client portfolio managed through a team of Client Partners and Senior Client Partners.
- Deliver disciplined account planning, pipeline development, and risk mitigation to ensure predictable, sustained portfolio growth and exceed Net Dollar Retention targets.
- Lead or provide senior oversight for complex pricing, negotiations, renewals, expansions, and multi-year programs, ensuring sound deal economics and appropriate risk protection.
- Establish clear growth strategies and accountabilities across the portfolio, ensuring plans are translated into action and measurable outcomes.
- Maintain portfolio-level forecasting accuracy and pacing visibility, proactively identifying emerging risks, gaps, and growth opportunities to deliver commercial predictability.
- Serve as executive sponsor across the portfolio, building trusted relationships with key senior stakeholders while enabling Client Partners to deepen and own their client relationships.
- Lead or support transformation-level conversations that shape client strategy, demonstrate business value, influence long-term investment, and identify new growth opportunities.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for strategic, commercial, or delivery challenges, intervening directly when leadership is needed to protect client trust and business outcomes.
- Partner with Delivery leadership to ensure portfolio-wide financial health, staffing alignment, delivery quality, and shared accountability for client outcomes.
- Bring the right leaders and capabilities into each account while remaining close enough to the work to provide meaningful direction and support—without displacing the ownership of the Client Partners on your team.
- Collaborate with Sales, Strategy, and Marketing to shape go-to-market strategy, develop new offerings, and strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Facilitate portfolio-level cohesion and communication, elevating emerging risks and opportunities to maintain a seamless, unified client experience.
- Directly lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Partners and Senior Client Partners, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for client, commercial, and leadership outcomes.
- Establish and reinforce effective commercial rhythms—including pipeline reviews, account planning, forecasting, and performance reviews—that create sustained growth momentum.
- Develop and scale training, playbooks, tools, and AI-enabled ways of working that strengthen the Client Partner organization.
- Create operating structure and clarity across a complex portfolio, particularly when priorities, client conditions, or organizational needs are changing.
- Deliver clear, candid feedback in a way that reinforces accountability, trust, and team engagement.
- Contribute to enterprise initiatives and leadership-level planning that advance Stitch’s commercial strategy, operating model, and long-term growth.
What Does Success Look Like in This Role?
- You produce portfolio outcomes through the performance of your team—not through ownership of an individual BoB.
- You maintain sufficient strategic and commercial visibility across the portfolio to identify risks, guide growth, and provide meaningful executive sponsorship while preserving clear account ownership within your team.
- You elevate your team by developing strong commercial operators, strategic advisors, and future leaders.
- The Client Partners and Senior Client Partners on your team operate with accountability and commercial discipline and consistently deliver strong growth outcomes.
- You confidently lead executive-level client and internal conversations, create clarity around decisions, draw out the right perspectives, and ensure every discussion results in clear ownership and next steps.
- You create clear growth strategies across the portfolio and ensure they are executed with focus, accountability, and measurable business impact.
- Your portfolio reflects disciplined commercial leadership, including strong Net Dollar Retention, a healthy expansion pipeline, accurate forecasting, and informed decision-making.
- You create structure in ambiguous situations and consistently translate strategic direction into coordinated team action.
- Your team experiences you as both a high-standard leader and a trusted coach. You address performance issues directly while communicating in a way that builds capability, confidence, and engagement.
- You move fluidly between coaching, executive sponsorship, commercial leadership, and direct intervention when circumstances require it.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 15+ years of experience in commercial leadership, client strategy, martech consulting, or enterprise account management.
- Demonstrated success leading and growing a large, complex client portfolio—ideally $20M+—with accountability for retention, expansion, profitability, forecasting, and the performance of other client leaders.
- Exceptional executive communication, presence, and influence, with demonstrated ability to lead complex client conversations, navigate conflict, negotiate favorable commercial terms, and build alignment among senior stakeholders.
- Proven success building, coaching, and holding high-performing client-facing teams accountable for commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, deal economics, and the effective management of portfolio-level profitability.
- Strong martech and customer-engagement credibility, with the ability to connect client strategy, data, technology, delivery, and commercial outcomes.
- Experience developing and presenting executive-level growth strategies, solution recommendations, and business cases that influence client investment and expansion decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to create operating structure, make decisions, and mobilize teams through ambiguity, competing priorities, organizational change, and complex client environments.
- A hands-on leadership style combined with the judgment to coach and enable account leaders rather than take over their responsibilities.
- A leadership approach that combines candor and high standards with respect, self-awareness, and the ability to build trust across different working styles.
- Ability to move quickly, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a rapidly changing and growing market.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
