This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also highlight your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of engineering design.
The work model for the role is # LI - Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Engineering, testing, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Power Management Systems (PMS), including load shedding, load sharing, synchronization, and monitoring/control of primary electrical equipment.
Designing, developing, and integrating DCS/SCADA solutions, including controller configuration, application engineering, HMI development, graphics creation, and system software implementation.
Developing and implementing power system control philosophies, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of industrial power and automation systems.
Configuring and integrating IEDs, protection relays, protocol gateways, and data concentrators, including management of IEC 61850 engineering files (ICD, CID, and SCD).
Designing and maintaining industrial control system network architectures, ensuring robust communication between field devices, controllers, and enterprise systems.
Implementing and troubleshooting industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Profinet, and Fieldbus.
Executing FAT, IFAT, SAT, and commissioning activities, while preparing and maintaining engineering documentation from basic design through detailed engineering stages.
Supporting OT/IT integration, industrial cybersecurity, system maintenance, backup strategies, and asset performance improvement initiatives, including renewable energy and asset reliability solutions where applicable.

Qualifications for the role:
Minimum 15+ years of experience in Power Management Systems (PMS), Power Systems, Substation Automation, DCS/SCADA engineering, or a related industrial automation domain, including experience in planning and project execution roles.
Proven experience in providing technical solutions, engineering leadership, and system integration expertise for complex industrial, utility, or energy sector projects.
Demonstrated people management and project management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive project delivery.
Strong experience in executing international and domestic projects, including engineering, testing, commissioning, customer coordination, and site support activities.
Sound understanding of power systems, industrial automation, communication networks, and control system architectures, with the ability to manage technical and commercial project requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across global teams.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related Engineering discipline.
Willingness to travel 30-50% nationally and internationally as required for project execution, commissioning, customer engagements, and business support activities. A valid international passport is mandatory.
