The Digital Services Engineering Intern will support HMH Services with AI development, engineering analysis, service-tool development, data analytics, and process improvement.
The Digital Services Engineering Intern will be responsible for:
- Support for AI-enabled initiatives, including data preparation, output review, and feedback tracking
- Engineering analysis of service performance, equipment issues, and lifecycle opportunities
- Development and testing of digital tools, dashboards, analytics, and automated workflows
- Structured problem solving, recurring-issue analysis, and service-process improvement
- Collaboration with Product & Technology, engineering, operations, Service Centers, and field teams
The Intern also will learn about and deliver the following:
- Service tools, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled engineering workflows
- Service performance analysis and improvement prioritization
- Technical documentation, knowledge capture, standards, and Product & Technology feedback
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled at the time internship commences and working toward completion of a Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Engineering, or Data Science majors preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Interest in engineering analysis, industrial services, digital tools, data analytics, automation, AI, or continuous improvement.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
- Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
