Overview:
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the automation and maintenance of mobile and web applications within the banking domain. The primary focus will be on implementing automation processes and coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
Touch base with different teams and implementing Continuous Integration for their projects.
Administration and implementing of CI tools, supported code to builds by integrating with tools.
Source code management by pushing, pulling, creating repositories, commit and repository polling through CI tools.
Responsible for design, development, testing and implementation of automated solutions that will interact with multiple third party and internal applications (Mobile, Web Applications).
Enhancing platform services via Jenkins, and Ansible.
Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integrate, monitor and ensure to automate software systems.
System Operations and Maintenance
Working on BAU activities including system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all services, reviewing system and application logs.
Automation and Design
The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture.
Service Delivery and Collaboration
Contributing to all aspects of service delivery, including participation in the service readiness process to validate that all required conditions.
Defining, escalating, and resolving all technical issues in an organized, efficient, and professional fashion.
Ownership and accountability for technology domain projects and initiatives
Additional Skills and Knowledge
Added advantage to have micro services or similar platform architecture-based application design
Functional knowledge on Jira, confluence Technical and functional knowledge on Sonarqube, Nexus, J Frog Artifactory.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science & Information Technology
Experience
- > 3 years of working experience in DevOps Engineer
Skills
- Strong knowledge on setting up and managing issues on Apache Proxy - forward/reverse
- Experience with DevOps, specifically automation, and UNIX
- Experience in Docker and CI/CD, tools.
- Experience with logging formats such as JSON, syslog, etc.
- Strong Operating System (Unix), network and security fundamentals e.g. understanding of networking protocols & applications (TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls etc.)
- Ability to work with Databases
- Experience with software development practices – Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Agile/SCRUM, and Source Code Management (GIT), web development frameworks or software design patterns e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Shell Scripting, Fastlane.
- OCP knowledge will be appreciated
