Summary:
As a Software Development Lead, you will engage in the development and configuration of software systems, either managing the entire process or focusing on specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your day will involve applying your extensive knowledge of various technologies, methodologies, and tools to effectively support clients and projects, ensuring that all software solutions meet the required standards and specifications. You will also be responsible for guiding your team through challenges, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in software development practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
Administer and configure the LIMS platform to meet laboratory workflows and compliance requirements (cGMP, GLP, or other relevant standards).
Build, customize, and maintain LIMS modules including sample tracking, test management, data entry, and reporting functionalities.
Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions ensuring controlled system access and data security.
Troubleshoot and resolve LIMS issues, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in day-to-day operations and escalations.
Develop and execute validation scripts, test plans, and perform system audit reviews.
Document processes, maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and deliver user training and support.
Participate in continuous improvement projects such as Permanent Improvement Programs (PIP), enhancing operational efficiency and system functionality.
Integrate LIMS with laboratory instruments and external enterprise systems (ERP, MES, ELNs).
2. Compose and Capture
Oversee implementation and support of Compose and Capture tools designed to digitally capture laboratory workflows and data in real-time.
Facilitate the setup of digital workflows that replace traditional paper-based documentation in laboratory processes.
Ensure smooth data capture that integrates with LIMS and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) for seamless data flow and traceability.
Collaborate with scientists and IT teams to adapt capture processes as per experimental and compliance needs.
Provide training to end-users on digital data capture best practices and tool utilization.
3. Scientific Notebook (SCNB)
Implement and maintain Scientific Notebooks as electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) or scientific data records platforms.
Ensure that the SCNB supports data integrity, audit trails, and regulatory compliance by capturing scientific observations, data analyses, and protocols.
Customize SCNB templates and functionality to laboratory requirements, including chemical inventory, reaction tracking, and experiment design.
Provide user support and training on SCNB usage to ensure consistent adoption across scientific teams.
Facilitate integration of SCNB with LIMS and other data repositories for centralized data management and reporting.
4. LABOPS
Support LABOPS platforms designed to automate laboratory operational workflows including sample logistics, inventory management, and resource allocation.
Configure LABOPS systems to align with lab operational strategies and compliance frameworks.
Monitor and analyze metrics for laboratory operations efficiency enhancements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with lab management, IT, and QA to implement lab-wide best practices using LABOPS.
Manage upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities for LABOPS software.
Provide training and create documentation related to lab operations technologies.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE Biovia.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with software configuration management tools.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE ENOVIA Customization.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 year full time education is required.
