We are seeking an experienced Credit officer to join our Bunnings Finance team.
About the role
We’re looking for a Credit Officer to join our Credit team at the Bunnings Support Centre in Ellerslie. This is a customer-focused role where you’ll be the first point of contact for our PowerPass Trade customers, helping them manage their accounts and providing support with payments, invoices and credit-related enquiries.
You'll spend much of your day connecting with customers over the phone, building relationships, resolving issues and working with customers to find practical payment solutions. If you're confident handling both inbound and outbound calls and enjoy having meaningful conversations with customers, this could be the perfect next step.
What’s involved
Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls
Contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and discussing payment arrangements
Providing support and guidance on account balances, invoices and payment enquiries
Building strong relationships with PowerPass Trade customers through professional and empathetic communication
Investigating and resolving customer account queries and credit claims
Working closely with internal teams to deliver positive customer outcomes
Maintaining accurate customer and account information across multiple systems
Who we're looking for
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where customer service is at the heart of what you do. You're a confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people, can navigate challenging conversations professionally, and takes pride in delivering positive customer experiences.
You'll need
Previous experience in a customer service, contact centre, collections, accounts receivable or credit role (advantageous)
Confidence handling inbound and outbound phone calls
The ability to have professional conversations around payments, overdue accounts and debt recovery
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
A calm, empathetic and solution-focused approach when dealing with customers
Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Understanding of the Commercial PowerPass offer (preferred)
