Kind Behavioral Health is a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis services, dedicated to improving the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”). We provide life-changing treatment to children with ASD, providing outstanding quality care, and delivering exceptional clinical outcomes, in an environment in which all are encouraged to THINK BIG, HAVE FUN, and DO GOOD. We deliver treatment through individualized plans of care, and target socially significant behaviors, enabling the clients we serve to lead more independent, fulfilling lives.
The Community & Outreach Representative sells Kind Behavioral Health to referral partners, PCPs, pediatricians, schools, therapists, and diagnostic teams, across North Carolina and Georgia, ensuring KBH remains top of mind and first on the list whenever a partner refers a family for treatment or diagnosis. This is a field-sales and relationship-ownership role: this person should be comfortable walking into a new pediatrician’s office, daycare, speech therapy practice, or similar organization, starting a conversation, and leaving that team with the strongest possible impression of KBH and what sets it apart.
Expect approximately 50–60% of working time in the field, building relationships face to face with referral partners. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this role owns the referral partner relationship end to end, in person and virtually, including outreach strategy and execution, KBH’s presence in the provider and referral community (directories, professional associations), and data integrity for the referral pipeline. This role operates in close partnership with the Digital Marketing & Brand Coordinator on CRM, specifically HubSpot, database management and referral communications, with clear lane ownership between the two roles.
Role Responsibilities
Referral Partner Relationship Ownership
Own the referral partner relationship end to end, building and maintaining provider relationships through in-person visits, email, phone, and fax
Conduct frequent, in-person visits across the full referral partner base, coordinating with local KBH teams where a joint visit adds value
Align with clinical leadership on plans of care renewal schedules to build and prioritize active PCP outreach lists
Determine, in coordination with intake, what referral sources should be told about service availability and ABA/ASD evaluation access, and communicate it directly for individual provider questions
Escalate to the Digital Marketing & Brand Coordinator when a partner communication needs to go out at scale rather than to a single provider
Engage partners via LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to reinforce in-person relationships
Identify and pursue new referral partner contacts through in-person networking and LinkedIn outreach
Expand the tiered partner model (VIP, Tier 2, PCP) based on market growth priorities
Community & Referral-Facing Authority
Own and maintain KBH’s presence on provider- and referral-facing directories and platforms (e.g., ABA Navigator, Beaming Health, insurer/Medicaid provider resource lists), keeping listings accurate and complete across every clinic location
Identify and pursue inclusion in additional healthcare/referral-facing resources where KBH should appear, including health-system, pediatric-practice, university, diagnostic-program, and community-organization directories in both NC and GA
Represent KBH within relevant professional associations (e.g., CASP) beyond a basic listing, surfacing opportunities for KBH clinicians to contribute, present, or provide commentary
Provide subject-matter input on referral-partner-facing website content so it reflects how partners actually search for and vet ABA providers
Events & Community Engagement
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Lunch & Learn events and educational sessions for referral partners, in coordination with local KBH teams
Execute referral partner care updates including IPOC and UPOC communications
Coordinate community outreach events based on organizational rollout timelines
Source and distribute branded recognition items to VIP partners as part of the partner recognition program
Referral Partner Database & HubSpot
Build, maintain, and expand the referral partner database in HubSpot in partnership with the Digital Marketing & Brand Coordinator
Execute day-to-day one-off referral partner communications through HubSpot
Maintain the referral relationship tracker and ensure accuracy of all partner contact records
Track new partner contacts added month-over-month as a leading pipeline indicator
Implement quarterly referral partner data shares to inform business development strategy
Tracking & Reporting
Review monthly referral data in Monday.com and HubSpot; flag trends and gaps to leadership
Report active partners by market, defined as at least one referral in the last 90 days
Report percentage of work time spent in the field against the 50–60% target
Align demand generation activity with clinic capacity data in coordination with operations
Identify new market opportunities in partnership with Clinical Directors and Regional Directors
Administrative & Internal Support
Track, document, and communicate referral progress with internal teams to keep coordination consistent.
Work closely with the Chief Business Development Officer to support business development initiatives and strategic planning
Support the intake team on an as-needed basis when partner outreach identifies a new prospect
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical marketing practices in all outreach activity
