Title: Client Education Specialist
Status: Full-Time
Location: Ann Arbor, MI (Hybrid)
Starting Pay Range: $60,000-65,000 starting base salary
We are looking for a Client Education Specialist to serve as the primary architect of our client education ecosystem. This role focuses on designing structured learning paths, maintaining an expansive library of technical documentation, and auditing our training assets to ensure they are accurate, engaging, and effective.
Reporting to the Client Education Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the education and enablement experience for our clients, empowering them to maximize the value of our software. You will spend your time auditing existing resources, building out sophisticated courses in our LMS, and translating complex product updates into clear, written, and visual guides.
You Might Be a Good Fit For This Role If
- You find immense satisfaction in a perfectly organized Knowledge Base and well-structured instructions.
- You don’t just write articles; you design learning journeys that take a user from novice to expert.
- You enjoy auditing content to find the small details that need updating after a product release.
- You enjoy playing in a sandbox environment to figure out the best way to explain a new feature to someone else.
- You have an eye for detail and are the type of person who notices if a screenshot has an outdated button color.
- You are process-driven and believe that clear documentation is the backbone of a great client experience.
Responsibilities
Curriculum Design & Learning Experience
- Own the structure and expansion of our LMS (Thinkific). Build and maintain self-paced courses and interactive learning modules.
- Design role-based learning paths that help different types of users (e.g., Admins vs. Power Users) find exactly the training they need.
- Create assessments and knowledge checks to measure learner comprehension and the effectiveness of our client education programs.
- Assist with live webinar production and occasionally script, create, or edit short video tutorials to support seasonal needs and new product releases.
Communication & Technical Writing
- Write, update, and organize articles for our Support Site, ensuring they are searchable, easy to follow, and visually supported by screenshots or diagrams.
- Draft announcements for webinars, new product releases, and education opportunities to engage and inform our clients.
Content Auditing & Maintenance
- Lead a continuous audit cycle of all training materials, including Support Site articles, LMS courses, and internal knowledge base to ensure they match the current software version.
- Audit the video library to flag outdated content and assist with script updates and edits as needed.
- Ensure a consistent voice, tone, and formatting across all education materials.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated successful experience in instructional design, technical writing, or educational content development.
- Proven experience building and managing content within an LMS (Thinkific, Teachable, etc.).
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to explain complex, technical workflows in simple, human terms.
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail while working on multiple education materials at once.
- High coachability and ability to integrate feedback effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- High aptitude for learning new software quickly. Proficiency with Canva, Google Suite, and basic screenshot/annotation tools a plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage a high volume of articles and courses simultaneously.
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Gemini and Claude a plus.
