Summary:

The Center for Data Science seeks a part-time Student Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operations, grants administration, event planning, and communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment. 

Essential Functions:

• Process student timesheets, maintain records, manage office space/resources, and support day-to-day administrative needs for staff and leadership.

• Coordinate logistics for events and programs, including speaker arrangements, travel bookings, expense reports, and student enrollment.

• Assist with grant application coordination, track expenditures, and research funding opportunities.

• Update the Center website, manage faculty profiles, and coordinate with partner institutions.

• Provide general support on additional projects and tasks as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-time.

• 8 - 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

• $18.40 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Current AU Student.
