Position Summary 

Flowserve is seeking a highly analytical and technically minded Business Analyst to support the Global Booking System (GBS), one of the company's most critical commercial applications. This role serves as a key partner to global sales, finance, commercial excellence, and operations teams by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of booking data used to drive business decisions. 

The successful candidate will support the administration and enhancement of GBS, develop reporting and analytics solutions, assist with month-end close activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across commercial processes. This position offers exposure to global stakeholders and significant opportunities to influence commercial intelligence, data governance, and process transformation initiatives. 

Your role:

Global Booking System Administration 

• Serve as an administrator and subject matter expert for the Global Booking System (GBS). 

• Support daily operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the GBS platform. 

• Manage booking adjustments, credit transfers, hierarchy updates, territory realignments, and sales attribution corrections. 

• Support user onboarding, security access management, and role administration within GBS. 

• Maintain system documentation, training materials, and support procedures. 

• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of system enhancements and new functionality. 

Commercial Reporting & Analytics 

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support global commercial leadership. 

• Create analytical models that provide insight into bookings, sales performance, sales productivity, funnel performance, and commercial trends. 

• Support development of operational and executive-level reporting packages. 

• Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement through data-driven insights. 

• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making. 

Month-End Close Support 

• Support global month-end close activities associated with booking consolidation and reporting. 

• Validate booking data integrity and research discrepancies between source systems. 

• Prepare reconciliation reports and investigate booking exceptions. 

• Coordinate with Finance, IT, and Sales Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate close processes. 

• Develop tools and automation solutions that reduce close cycle time and improve data quality. 

Process Improvement & Data Governance 

• Identify opportunities to streamline commercial processes and improve operational efficiency. 

• Develop and maintain automated solutions using Power BI, SQL, Excel, Power Query, and related technologies. 

• Support initiatives focused on data quality, audit readiness, governance, and process standardization.

• Contribute to continuous improvement projects impacting commercial systems and reporting capabilities. 

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of business process documentation and operational runbooks. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Partner with Sales, Finance, Commercial Excellence, IT, and regional business leaders. 

• Participate in global projects supporting digital transformation and commercial excellence initiatives. 

• Provide training and knowledge-sharing support to users and team members. 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize enhancement requests and drive adoption of best practices. 

Your profile:

Education 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline. 

Experience 

• 2-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Reporting, Data Analytics, or related field. 

• Experience working with large enterprise applications and data environments. 

• Experience supporting global stakeholders preferred. 

Technical Skills 

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Power BI development and dashboard design experience. 

• Experience working with SQL and relational databases. 

• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or commercial transaction systems. 

• Strong data validation, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience supporting sales operations or commercial excellence functions. 

• Experience with booking, order, revenue, or sales performance reporting. 

• Exposure to Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Azure, DevOps, or similar enterprise platforms. 

• Experience working within a global shared services or COE environment.
