As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse existing processes, define requirements, and support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in translating business objectives into practical, implementable solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and support successful project outcomes. This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract based on-site in Brisbane.
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand business processes, customer journeys, and operational requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to elicit, analyse, and validate business requirements.
- Document current-state and future-state processes, business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional and non-functional specifications.
- Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification, standardisation, and optimisation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, project managers, and technical specialists to ensure business requirements are translated into effective solution designs.
- Support solution evaluation, requirements traceability, change impact assessments, testing, business readiness, and transition activities.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication across business and technical teams.
- Ensure business analysis deliverables align with project objectives, governance standards, and organisational best practices.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst delivering digital transformation, application migration, or technology-enabled business improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical audiences.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional, non-functional, integration, reporting, and security requirements.
- Proven ability to develop business process models, user stories, use cases, process maps, and requirements documentation using contemporary business analysis techniques.
- Experience supporting solution design, testing, business readiness, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies and modern business analysis frameworks.
- A collaborative approach with a focus on delivering practical, business-focused outcomes and continuous improvement.
