To lead the corporate legal backbone and build strategy for data governance and contractual frameworks across a diverse financial services group. You will ensure that the NBFC, Digital Lending (LSP), and Insurance Corporate Agency businesses operate within a robust,"privacy-by-design" environment while maintaining commercial agility.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes agreements,including Co-lending agreements, SaaS contracts, Vendor Service Agreements, Tripartite LSP contracts, Product Partnership agreements, NDAs, MOUs, etc.
2. Data Privacy & Protection: Design and implement a group-wide data privacy framework aligned. Act as the subject matter expert on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and international best practices for data residency and security.
3. Inter-Entity Governance: Manage the legal complexities of shared data, resources and services between the NBFC, LSP and Corporate Agency (Insurance) business to ensure regulatory silos are maintained.
4. Product Advisory: Partner with Tech and Product teams to review UI/UX flows, ensuring consent architectures and data collection practices meet stringent legal standards.
5. Automation: Drive automation across the corporate legal function for automating compliances, CLM cycle, risk assessment, etc.
Candidate Profile
1. Experience: 4–8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a heavy focus on
NBFCs, Fintech, Tech Law & Data Privacy laws.
2. Education: LL.B/LL.M from a reputed university.
3. Certification in Data Privacy (e.g., CIPP/E) is a significant plus.
4. Skills: Exceptional drafting skills and the ability to navigate the overlap between Insurance laws and RBI Lending regulations.
