Tenure-Track Faculty Position – (Quantitative Methods; Specialization in Political Sociology, Economic Sociology/Stratification, Medical Sociology, or Technology and Society)


Position Description:
 

The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, commencing August 1, 2027. 

We seek applicants with a quantitative and/or computational methods research profile as demonstrated by a record of published and ongoing work addressing sociological questions. Substantively, we invite applications from scholars specializing in political sociology (including but not limited to topics such as populism, social movements, nationalism, democratic backsliding), medical sociology, economic sociology and stratification, or technology and society. The successful candidate will be expected to teach quantitative methods at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

Job Duties:
Research; teaching; service.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

1) PhD in sociology or in a related field (includes those who expect to receive their PhD by the start of the position);

2) A strong emerging record of publications and independent program of research;

3) Experience in teaching as lecturer or teaching assistant is beneficial.
