Job Summary
Flex intends to Spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Assistant Manager Administration located in Chennai location.
The Assistant Manager – Administration is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of soft services and upkeep of the Chennai office. The role oversees housekeeping, pest control, cafeteria and pantry operations, workplace hygiene, employee amenities, vendor performance and service-related employee requests. The position requires strong on-ground supervision, attention to detail, service orientation and disciplined follow-through.

What a typical day looks like:
1. Workplace upkeep and employee experience
Ensure the overall cleanliness, hygiene, appearance and readiness of work areas, meeting rooms, common spaces, washrooms, pantries and employee amenities.
Conduct regular workplace rounds, identify service gaps, assign ownership and ensure timely closure.
Coordinate workplace readiness for leadership visits, employee events and business-critical activities.
Handle employee requests, feedback, complaints and escalations related to soft services.
2. Housekeeping and pest control
Manage daily housekeeping operations, manpower deployment, shift rosters, grooming, cleaning schedules and service quality.
Coordinate periodic deep cleaning, specialized cleaning and pest-control activities.
Ensure safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment and consumables.
Monitor workplace waste segregation, collection and disposal.
3. Cafeteria and pantry operations
Oversee cafeteria, pantry and beverage operations, ensuring food safety, hygiene, service quality and positive employee experience.
Monitor menus, meal availability, food quality, peak-hour service, employee feedback and food wastage.
Ensure pantry and washroom consumables are adequately stocked and controlled.
Maintain food-safety, hygiene, testing and statutory documentation and support accurate meal-count and billing validation.
4. Vendor and service governance
Manage soft-services vendors and monitor staffing, attendance, training, statutory compliance, SLAs and KPIs.
Conduct regular vendor reviews, track corrective actions and address recurring service gaps.
Conduct briefings and periodic training for housekeeping, cafeteria, pantry and pest-control personnel.
Manage inventory and consumption of housekeeping materials, cleaning chemicals and pantry supplies.
5. Safety, compliance and reporting
Ensure soft-services activities comply with company safety standards and applicable workplace requirements.
Maintain inspection checklists, vendor records, service reports and audit-ready documentation.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and dashboards covering service performance, complaints, inventory and improvement actions.
Escalate technical maintenance issues to the Facilities or Engineering team and track them to closure.
6. Continuous improvement and stakeholder support
Partner with employees, internal stakeholders and service providers to deliver consistent workplace services.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality, employee experience, cost control and sustainability.
Support digitalization of inspections, helpdesk tracking, vendor scorecards and operational reporting.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Administration, workplace soft services, hospitality or facilities management.
Hands-on experience managing housekeeping, pest control, cafeteria, pantry and workplace-upkeep services.
Experience managing outsourced service providers, manpower deployment, SLAs, inventory, billing documentation, employee complaints and audits.
Experience in a large corporate office, shared-services organization, hotel, hospital or 24/7 operating environment is preferred.
Preferred credentials
Food safety, food hygiene, HACCP, housekeeping, hospitality-service or workplace-safety certification.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and operational reporting tools.
Good communication, stakeholder-management, briefing and training skills.
