Site Overview:
Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of machining operations, including CNC programming, tool selection, and fixture design.
- Support the setup, calibration, and maintenance of various machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and specialized CNC machinery.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new machining techniques, tooling, and automation solutions.
- Conduct quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications and design requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of machining parameters, production data, and quality control results.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of manufacturing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols related to machining.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support cost reduction efforts through material optimization, process efficiency, and waste reduction in machining operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Candidate with min 4+ years of experience in w CNC programming
Required Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to machining processes.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software.
- Familiarity with various machining techniques (turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.) and associated tooling.
- Knowledge of metrology and experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
