Heidelberg Materials Australia are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic & customer focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our National Accounts Payable team working out of the Shared Services Centre in Parramatta, NSW.

This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable professional who enjoys problem-solving, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving process excellence. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Australian Shared Services Centre by ensuring supplier governance, resolving complex invoice issues, and maintaining the integrity of our Accounts Payable processes.

This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday supporting the Australian Shared Services Centre (SSC) – Accounts Payable team by ensuring governance on Regional Suppliers.

In your new role, you will be:

• Investigate and resolve supplier enquiries and invoice-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate purchase order and invoice processing issues as required.
• Process invoices accurately, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support effective communication and issue resolution.
• Manage and action business requests in accordance with company policies and service standards.
• Monitor and resolve problem invoices, pricing discrepancies, and invoice exceptions.
• Liaise across the business to clear parked and blocked invoices efficiently.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and follow up outstanding invoices and balances.
• Review monthly reconciliations and take ownership of outstanding actions.
• Manage SAP Staging Area activities, including data corrections, duplicate invoice identification, and supplier follow-up.
• Provide support across the wider Accounts Payable team and assist with ad hoc requests when required.

This role is a great fit for you, if you have:

• 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Experience in AP analysis preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Intermediate Excel Skills
• Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
• Strong commitment & ability to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail with high efficiency
• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude with a pro-active approach
