The role:

The Transport Solution Design and Pricing Manager owns the strategy, rigour and commercial outcomes behind Ofload’s transport solutions, pricing and carrier network capability. This senior individual contributor role is accountable for translating customer requirements into scalable, commercially viable transport solutions across both new and existing business - balancing service, cost, capacity, competitiveness, risk and margin.

Working cross functionally, the role provides the commercial and analytical lens that ensures Ofload can win the right opportunities, retain existing customers and convert revenue into sustainable, profitable growth. The role will also shape the carrier and network capability required to support Ofload’s evolving customer proposition and strengthen its competitive position.

Success means combining strategic thinking with executional rigour—building a scalable pricing and solution design capability, improving the predictability of margin outcomes, and continuously evolving the network to deliver the right service at the right cost.

What you’ll do:

Pricing Strategy & Solution Design: Own the end-to-end approach to transport solution design and pricing for opportunities, translating customer requirements into scalable, competitive and commercially viable solutions. Lead complex and strategic opportunities, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered at pace and aligned to customer expectations.

Margin Performance & Governance: Maintain the standard for pricing accuracy and commercial discipline, continuously improving pricing models, assumptions and inputs to minimise the gap between priced and actual margin and reduce margin leakage.

Commercial Outcomes: Partner with Sales & Customer Success to shape the commercial solution and pricing strategy to improve new business conversion and existing customer retention while protecting sustainable margin.

Carrier & Network Strategy: Define and execute the strategy for developing Ofload’s carrier network and capabilities, ensuring the network evolves in line with customer demand, strategic priorities and growth ambitions.

Carrier Procurement: Secure the right carrier capacity and commercial outcomes to ensure won solutions can be delivered reliably and profitably.

Cross-Functional Engagement: Act as a trusted commercial partner to Sales, Finance, Customer Success and Technology, bringing together customer, operational, pricing and market insights to shape aligned decisions and deliver the best commercial outcomes for Ofload.

Best Practice & Enablement: Establish and champion best practice across pricing and solution design, acting as a subject-matter expert and raising capability and commercial discipline across the broader business.

Performance & Insights: Delivering on the performance framework across pricing accuracy, priced vs actual margin, opportunity conversion, retention, network capability and carrier performance, translating data into actionable insights for leadership.

About you:

• Industry Expertise: 8+ years’ experience in middle-mile and last-mile logistics, network pricing or supply chain solution design, ideally with exposure to FMCG customers.
• Negotiation & Relationship Management: Proven track record negotiating and managing high-value, long-term carrier and supplier relationships.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: A confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Subject-Matter Expertise: Recognised as a go-to expert in pricing and solution design, able to influence and upskill others through expertise and sound judgement rather than formal authority.
• Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial and analytical capability, comfortable owning margin outcomes and translating data and models into business decisions.
• High Standards: Sets and holds a high bar for performance, continually raising standards for themself and the team
• Adaptability: Demonstrates openness to change by adjusting effectively to new conditions, challenges, or priorities. Leads through change with resilience and agility, bringing others along and encouraging them to embrace change
