The Role

To increase sales and deliver maximum profitability by creating value for distributors and end users. In addition you will support the Victorian Refinish team by maximising the usage of PPG Products in assigned areas by effectively providing Technical support & demonstrating their correct application & procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to ensuring that PPG meets EH&S regulations by adhering to guidelines & procedures for safe work practices & educating customers in the safe use of all PPG products.
• Ensure profitability of the business by achieving monthly sales targets & market share.
• Monitoring the performance of Distributors & Refinishers against targets & by securing business opportunities for PPG products & services with new & existing customers.
• Ensure the territory is effectively serviced by Distributors by working closely with them to achieve sales targets.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by providing backup & support to customers of PPG products & services.
•  Ensure profitability of the business by successfully demonstrating the correct application of all PPG Products and Systems.
• Contribute to business performance through effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.
•  Ensure that PPG is regarded as an expert and market leader in the OEM & Refinish field by continuing to develop and maintain comprehensive technical & practical knowledge of application techniques and equipment relevant to the total PPG product range & competitor product ranges
• Undertake training activities for distributers and staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, sales and activity records through the effective use of CRM systems and business tools.
• Demonstrate corporate accountability by completing all compliance and online training requirements within required timeframes.
• Any duties as required from time to time

Candidate Profile

• Trade qualification in the Refinish industry is desirable.
• Practical use of PPG products desirable but not necessary.
• Previous experience with competitor products would be an advantage.
• Sound sales experience would be ideal.
• Strong customer focus is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, self-managed and self-motivated
