Responsibilities
- Support One Office and other shared-service applications across HCF’s diversified platforms
- Monitor system batches and investigate production incidents
- Provide first-level application and production support
- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system issues
- Analyse system requirements and assess impacts for new and enhanced applications
- Design practical system solutions aligned with business requirements and solution architecture
- Contribute to defect fixes, enhancements, releases, testing and implementation activities
- Support project initiatives, including new product launches
- Maintain system availability, data integrity and accurate reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness
- Use AI-assisted tools appropriately to improve analysis, documentation and productivity
Required Skills
- At least two to three years’ experience in systems analysis, application support, production support roles.
- Intermediate SQL capability, including the ability to investigate data and troubleshoot system issues
- Some SSIS exposure will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience supporting distributed applications, including cloud-based applications
- Understanding of relational databases, SOA, REST or web services and client-server technologies
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile or Scrum delivery practices
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to collaborate effectively with business users, analysts, developers, architects, vendors and delivery teams
- Experience in life insurance, insurance in general, payments applications and production support experience will be highly regarded. Candidates from other industries with relevant technical experience are also encouraged to apply
