Project Info
ACCIONA is delivering the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant, a landmark project securing Perth's water future. As part of an alliance with Water Corporation and Jacobs, ACCIONA will design, build, operate and maintain the plant for ten years. Stage 1 will supply 50 billion litres of drinking water annually from 2028, connected via a 33.5km pipeline to Wanneroo.
About Opportunity
As Rigging Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate and oversee all rigging and lifting activities across the Alkimos site, ensuring every lift is executed safely and in line with approved lift plans, standards and site requirements. You will supervise rigging crews, coordinate crane and plant resources, and manage subcontractors to keep works compliant with safety, environmental and quality controls. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, crane operators and site leadership to resolve operational challenges and hit project milestones on time and on budget.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Plan and coordinate rigging and lifting activities across the site
- Supervise rigging crews and manage subcontractor performance
- Coordinate crane and plant resources to meet program demands
- Enforce compliance with lift plans, standards and site procedures
- Resolve operational issues with engineers and site leadership
- Monitor quality and safety, addressing non-conformities promptly
- Document re-planning and communicate current plans to the team
Required Skills and Competencies
- 5+ years' experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in construction
- Proven mechanical construction experience on Tier 1 projects
- Trade qualification relevant to construction or manufacturing
- Cert IV in Construction Supervision desirable
- Familiarity with ISO standards and WA infrastructure regulations
