About the Role

As a Senior Project Management Analyst you will lead complex, high-visibility marketing projects and experiences from brief through execution and closure.

At the core, you are a Senior Project Manager responsible for defining how work gets accomplished—bringing structure, clarity and momentum to projects through strong planning, stakeholder management, operational rigor and execution excellence.

Your specialization will be in events, experiential initiatives, productions and on-ground activations. You will translate creative and business ideas into executable experiences, connecting strategy with production realities and ensuring every element comes together seamlessly—from initial scoping and feasibility through vendor engagement, production, logistics, onsite delivery and post-event evaluation.

As a Senior Project Management Analyst you will:

Project & Program Management

  • Lead projects end-to-end, from intake, brief and scope definition through planning, production, execution, measurement and closure.
  • Translate business and creative objectives into clear project plans, milestones, timelines, dependencies, ownership and execution frameworks.
  • Manage multiple large-scale, high-priority projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timelines and business objectives are protected.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for assigned initiatives, connecting Marketing CFTs, business partners, agencies, production partners and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project kick-offs, briefing meetings, working sessions, creative reviews, production reviews, readiness checks and post-project retrospectives.
  • Establish clear stakeholder communication rhythms and maintain project documentation, status reports, dashboards, action trackers and decision logs.
  • Bring structure to ambiguity and independently close information gaps required to move work forward.

Events & Experiential Execution

  • Project manage events, experiential marketing programs, brand activations, employee experiences, conferences, exhibitions, launches, large-format gatherings and other physical or hybrid experiences from concept to execution.
  • Convert event concepts and creative ideas into comprehensive execution plans covering production, venue, infrastructure, guest experience, branding, logistics, staffing and operational requirements.
  • Assess event and experiential concepts for execution feasibility, identifying production requirements, dependencies, operational constraints and potential risks.
  • Develop detailed event workback plans covering pre-production, production, onsite execution and post-event closure.
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue requirements, layouts, movement plans, registration or attendee journeys, hospitality, transportation, equipment and other execution needs as relevant.
  • Own onsite project management for priority programs, acting as the central coordination point for production teams, agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Production Management

  • Lead the operationalization of creative concepts into executable physical and experiential environments.
  • Partner closely with creative teams and production partners on elements such as stage and environment design, fabrication, branding, signage, installations, audio-visual requirements, lighting, content integration and experience touchpoints, as applicable to the program.
  • Establish production schedules covering design development, approvals, fabrication, testing, installation, rehearsals, show/event execution and dismantling.
  • Facilitate production reviews and ensure creative intent is appropriately translated into final execution.
  • Coordinate technical, creative and operational stakeholders and ensure dependencies across teams are understood and resolved.
  • Maintain quality-control standards throughout production and onsite implementation.

Agency, Vendor & Partner Management

  • Work effectively with external event agencies, experiential partners, production houses, fabricators, venues and other specialist vendors.
  • Develop clear scopes of work and ensure agency/vendor deliverables are connected to overall project expectations and timelines.
  • Drive partner accountability through structured reviews, action tracking and escalation where necessary.
  • Coordinate vendor timelines and dependencies across multiple partners and workstreams.
  • Evaluate partner performance after significant programs and identify opportunities to improve future ways of working.

Budget & Operational Governance

  • Build and maintain visibility to project and event budgets in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Create RFP/ RFQs for different planned engagements.
  • Evaluate scope, production requirements and execution choices with consideration for cost, quality, timeline and business value.
  • Track changes that could impact costs or delivery and ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed before commitments are made.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimization without compromising the intended experience.
  • Maintain disciplined project documentation, approvals and governance throughout the lifecycle.

About You

  • Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Event Management, Media, Business or a related field is preferred.
  • 9+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience independently managing complex projects, programs, events, experiential marketing or production.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, consistent with the expectations of Target’s existing senior PM role.
  • Strong experience across the complete event and/or production lifecycle, from briefing and planning through execution and closure.
  • Experience working with creative teams, agencies, production partners, vendors and multiple business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of event production, logistics and onsite operations.
  • Experience managing complex timelines involving multiple interdependent workstreams.
  • Strong project-management discipline with the ability to establish plans, governance, documentation and communication mechanisms.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship-management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Resourceful, self-directed and comfortable working through ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, requirements and execution conditions.
  • Curiosity, initiative and sound creative and business judgment.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic conversations and detailed execution.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means that you can take an ambitious idea and make it executable. You create clarity when projects are complex. You anticipate rather than react. You bring the right people together, establish a realistic path to delivery, keep teams aligned, protect the creative intent and make sure execution meets the expectations of the business and the Target brand.

You are equally comfortable leading a stakeholder meeting, interrogating a project plan, reviewing a production schedule, working through a vendor dependency, managing an onsite escalation, or presenting project status and recommendations to leadership.

Most importantly, you are not only an events specialist. You are a Senior Project Manager whose domain of expertise is Events, Production & Execution—bringing together strategy, creative, people, processes and partners to deliver exceptional experiences with consistency and operational excellence.
