We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in NodeJS and PostgreSQL, along with a solid understanding of backend development principles.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and working closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable software products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications and services using NodeJS.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design, develop, and optimize database schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions using PostgreSQL.
• Write clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code following established engineering practices.
• Integrate backend services with internal systems, third-party APIs, and other application components.
• Analyze application performance and troubleshoot production issues, bugs, and system bottlenecks.
• Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and validation across backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality, development standards, and engineering processes.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and stability.
• Contribute to system design discussions and help build solutions that can scale with business and user requirements.
• Continuously evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for performance, reliability, and maintainability improvements.

Must-Have Skills

NodeJS

• Strong hands-on experience with NodeJS and backend application development.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and API development.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with common NodeJS frameworks and backend development patterns.

PostgreSQL

• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of relational database concepts, schema design, normalization, and transactions.
• Ability to write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Experience with indexes, joins, constraints, and query optimization.

Good-to-Have Skills

Backend Engineering

• Strong understanding of backend architecture and software engineering principles.
• Experience working with microservices or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with caching, queues, asynchronous processing, and performance optimization.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, or monitoring tools is a plus.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, security, and API best practices.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Ability to debug issues and work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
