Responsibilities and Duties:

In this highly challenging role, you will:

• Design and implement software features and unit tests related to Wi-Fi based on PRPL.
• Develop and integrate mesh networking features on prplMesh/Easymesh (prplOS) and RDK-B/OpenWRT-based platforms.
• Develop proof of concepts for new technologies.
• Research new Wi-Fi technologies.
• Debug and resolve field issues (client connectivity, roaming, stability, and interoperability) in collaboration with silicon vendors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• Over 5 years of experience in embedded system software development
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be etc.
• Extensive experience with WPA supplicant, Hostapd, and Radius protocol
• Extensive experience with IP networking and a good knowledge of TCP/IP
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on innovation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
• Self-starter who strives for results and continual improvement
• Must work well independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have:

• In-depth understanding of the 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology
• Experience on Qualcomm, Broadcom, Maxlinear platform etc.
• Experience on Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 (including MLO / 802.11be features)
• Hands-on experience with prplMesh/Easymesh, IEEE 1905.1, and 802.11s mesh networking, including Easymesh R5/R6 certification
• Experience with RDK-B, prplOS, and/or OpenWRT gateway software stacks
• Familiarity with Yocto build systems and embedded Linux kernel/driver development
