A Senior Platform/Cloud Engineer at Constellation Data Labs architects, designs, and implements scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions to power our real estate data and analytics platform. You will help bridge data engineering and cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our Snowflake-centric data platform integrates seamlessly with our AWS services and .NET-based microservices.
 

Responsibilities:

• Data & Platform Architecture
  • Help oversee the architecture of our real estate data and analytics pipeline from ingestion to API delivery.
  • Design and implement caching and data access layers that balance warehouse (Snowflake) compute with fast user-facing cache stores (e.g., Redis/ElastiCache).
  • Ensure drill-down and slice-and-dice analytics experiences are performant, scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Platform Engineering
  • Build and maintain microservices in C#/.NET for data delivery, APIs, and customer-facing applications.
  • Use AWS CDK to provision and manage infrastructure (Lambdas, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, Kinesis, etc.).
  • Develop reusable infrastructure and platform components that accelerate team velocity.
• Snowflake Integration
  • Design efficient data models (facts, dimensions, aggregates) in Snowflake to support analytics workloads.
  • Implement materialized views, task scheduling, and integrations with AWS services.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to optimize compute, storage, and query performance.
• Reliability, Security & Cost Optimization
  • Ensure all systems adhere to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
  • Continuously monitor performance, availability, and reliability with tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, or QuickSight.
  • Provide input on FinOps practices balancing Snowflake credit usage, cache footprint, and AWS costs.
• Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead small project teams, own technical delivery, and mentor engineers on AWS, Snowflake, and .NET best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, application developers, product) across multiple geographies.
  • Drive clarity between precomputation in Snowflake vs. dynamic computation in cache/microservices to ensure a world-class user experience.
     

Key Experience:

• 7+ years professional engineering experience, with 5+ in cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/Kinesis, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, OpenSearch.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, modeling, and integration with AWS services.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for microservices and API development.
• Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK (TypeScript, Python, or C#).
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms with cache + warehouse patterns.
• Familiarity with RESO standards and real estate data (preferred, not required.).
• Experience with observability stacks: Grafana, Kibana, QuickSight, or similar.
• AWS certifications preferred, but not required.
