The Role
The Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing Strategy – NSW & Affiliate Partnerships holds a dual mandate. First, in common with the other Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing Strategy roles, this position partners with a portfolio of contracted NSW venues and promoters, interpreting audience and purchasing behaviour data, sales trends and web analytics to design strategies that maximise ticket sales and yield.
Second, and unique to this role, the position owns TEG's affiliate marketing program end-to-end via the Impact platform, including affiliate recruitment, commission strategy, and building affiliate capability across the wider Client Solutions team
Requirements
Outcomes to Deliver
Here's what success looks like in this role:
- NSW portfolio strategy — Interpret audience, purchasing behaviour, sales trend and web analytics data for each venue and promoter in the NSW portfolio, and translate it into account plans and strategies that maximise ticket sales and yield.
- Affiliate platform ownership — Own TEG’s affiliate marketing program end-to-end on the Impact platform, including affiliate recruitment, commission strategy and day-to-day platform administration, delivering measurable incremental ticket sales.
- Capability uplift — Build the capability of peer Senior Managers and the wider Client Solutions team to confidently identify and pitch affiliate marketing opportunities within their own portfolios.
- Cross-team coordination — Partner closely with Ticketek Marketing, TEG Media and TEG Intelligence to keep NSW strategies deliverable, and champion the full TEG marketing, media and intelligence capability with clients.
- Commercial governance — Own ticket sales and yield performance across the NSW portfolio and the commercial performance of the national affiliate program, ensuring privacy, contractual and consumer law obligations are met.
Capabilities to Bring
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- Data-led strategist — experience in a sales, marketing strategy or account management role with a strong data or analytics component, ideally within ticketing, entertainment, media or events.
- Affiliate platform expertise — direct experience managing an affiliate marketing program, ideally on Impact or a comparable affiliate network platform, including designing and managing commission structures.
- Analytical translator — strong working knowledge of audience/purchasing behaviour data, sales trend analysis and web analytics, with the ability to turn data into practical client-facing strategy.
- Relationship builder — strong relationship management skills, equally comfortable as a trusted client advisor and an internal capability coach to peers.
- Privacy-savvy — a solid understanding of data privacy obligations relevant to client, affiliate and consumer data handling.
- Bonus points — existing affiliate or partner network relationships in entertainment, ticketing or events, experience upskilling peers, and familiarity with pricing/yield optimisation tools.
