Meet your future team

As our new Senior Manager, Business Process Management, you will lead a small team of dedicated Business Process Managers and play a pivotal role in how Product & Innovation operates and evolves.

Your team sits at the heart of the product development organisation, partnering with leaders and specialists across Product & Innovation. Together, you will strengthen our processes and ways of working, including the continued development of our Stage-Gate Product Development Process (PDP), to improve effectiveness, quality, and collaboration.

This is a highly visible role with significant influence across the organisation, giving you the platform to drive strategic initiatives while leading a talented and committed team.

You will take a leading role in building and advancing process excellence across Products & Innovation, shaping how the organisation works in the future and driving change towards more process-driven ways of working. A key part of the role is developing defined, standardised, and consistently applied Idea-to-Market processes covering the full product development lifecycle, from early ideas and technology maturation through product development, optimisation, and phase-out.

Along the way, you will work side by side with senior stakeholders, help shape key decisions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Process Management team.

• Own and continuously improve the Idea-to-Market process landscape, including the Stage-Gate Product Development Process (PDP) and its underlying product development processes.

• Drive the strategic process excellence initiative, including prioritising, scoping, and executing key process improvement projects.

• Establish and maintain process architecture, governance, standards, tools, and methodologies in collaboration with Operations & Supply and the wider VELUX organisation to build a common BPM foundation.

• Partner with process owners and subject matter experts to design, standardise, and improve core business processes, including establishing Process Improvement Teams and mobilising cross-functional resources.

• Monitor process performance, maturity, adherence, and adoption, and drive improvements through data, communication, training, and follow-up.

What you will bring

You are an experienced leader with a strong understanding of R&D and product development, combined with solid experience in business process management, operational excellence, or continuous improvement. You understand how processes can improve product development outcomes without creating unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy.

You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic and hands-on mindset, and you are skilled at turning frameworks, standards, and best practices into ways of working that create real value in day-to-day product development. Above all, you are a confident change leader who can bring the organisation with you on the journey towards more process-driven ways of working.

Moreover, we expect that you:

• Bring substantial experience from R&D, product development, engineering, or innovation environments.

• Have a strong background in business process management, process excellence, or continuous improvement.

• Have a proven track record of leading organisational change, building commitment, and embedding new ways of working.

• Bring minimum 5 years of people management experience and a genuine passion for developing teams.

• Demonstrate strong capabilities in process design, governance, architecture, performance management, and maturity assessment.

• Know relevant product development standards and frameworks and know how to apply them pragmatically in practice.

• Are structured, analytical, pragmatic, and persistent, with a sharp focus on measurable business outcomes.
